Choctaw Agency

Choctaw Agency is located on the Natchez Trace Parkway at milepost 100.7. U.S. agents like Silas Dinsmoor lived among the Choctaw and represented their interests while implementing U.S. policy. His duties included surveying and preventing illegal settlement of the Choctaw land. He also encouraged the Choctaw to be more dependent on modern farming practices. He was tasked to collect tribal debts owed to American companies and ensure that the Choctaw were paid for land ceded to the U.S. The agency moved four times to stay within the shrinking boundaries of the Choctaw Nation. It was located here, along the Natchez Trace, from 1807 until just after the Treaty of Doak's Stand in 1820.

Jackson Street District

This eclectic shopping area in Olde Towne Ridgeland offers unique dining options, gift shops, and salon/spa services, as well as specialty boutiques and a bicycle shop right at the front door of the Chisha Foka Multi-Use Trail.

Trace Station

This shopping center has something for everyone: apparel, art, arrangements, antiques, and gourmet food and gifts.

Indian Cycle

The oldest Bike Shop in the Jackson Metro Area, Indian Cycle is a full-service bike shop that can do anything from repairing a flat to a full tune-up and cleaning. They carry several types of bikes, accessories, clothing, gloves, shoes, and most everything a cyclist needs to get riding. Make a quick detour to shop for apparel and bike accessories here.

Mississippi Craft Center

The Mississippi Craft Center is a state-of-the-art facility nestled in the trees off the Natchez Trace Parkway and Rice Road. The Craft Center displays the artwork of more than 400 artisans. These fine Southern crafts include vivid Choctaw baskets and pottery, old-fashioned quilts, carvings in natural wood, and an eclectic array of jewelry.

Pelican Cove Grill

Pelican Cove Grill is a Mississippi Island Oasis featuring the area's only "on the water" dining experience in a fun casual atmosphere. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Ross Barnett Reservoir while dining on classic southern and seafood dishes like shrimp and grits, hush puppies, and crawfish!

Old Trace Park

On the shore of the Barnett Reservoir, Old Trace Park provides green space for a picnic, playing Frisbee, or flying a kite.

Barnett Reservoir Overlook

The Barnett Reservoir was created by impounding the Pearl River between Madison and Rankin Counties. It has 105 miles of shoreline and is bounded on the north by the historic Natchez Trace. Soak in the scenic view or drop a line in the water before turning back on the trail.

Renaissance at Colony Park

Located on the Highland Colony Parkway and situated at the northwest corner of I-55 and Old Agency Road in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Renaissance at Colony Park brings the finest in fashion and retail shops and restaurants to the Jackson Metro Area and the entire State of Mississippi. The open-air center, with its distinctive Lifestyle Main Street concept, goes beyond shopping, dining and entertainment, relying heavily on architecture and amenities to create an experience for visitors and provides an opportunity to stroll, relax, or dine al fresco.

Township At Colony Park

The Township is a master-planned, mixed-use neighborhood in the heart of a vibrant yet quaint community. The unique mixture of shops, offices, hotels, fitness, condominiums, and single-family homes was developed from the design concepts of New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development, quality of life movements that focus on creating a sense of place.
